رغم تعدّد البحوث في الفكر اللبناني، فهذا الجانب، أي الأثر الهندوي فيه بقي مغفلاً، رغم وضوحه وأهمّيته، أما السبب فبسيط: فما من كاتب واحد متخصّص في الفلسفة الهندية واليوغا تطوّع لخوض غمار هذا البحث.
وبحث كهذا يتطلّب أقّله تخصّصاً في حقلين مختلفين: 1-أديان الهند، 2-الأدب اللبناني.
وأين تجد مستهنداً متخصّصاً بالفكر اللبناني؟! والمستهندون أساساً بضاعة نادرة في العالمين العربي والإسلامي!...
فكلّ هذه العوامل، وغيرها، دفعت المؤلف المستهند إلى الغوص في هذا الموضوع.
والأثر الهندوي في الفكر اللبناني يجسّده بالأخص ثلاثة أدباء / مفكّرين: جبران، وميخائيل نعيمه، وكمال جنبلاط.
الأول خُصّ بكتاب كان الحلقة الأولى ضمن هذه السلسلة "أديان الهند وأثرها في جبران"، والثالث سيكون مدار دراسة ستصدر قريباً وعنوانها "حوار الهندوسية والمسيحية والإسلام في لقاء جنبلاط بنعيمه والأب الحايك". أما الثاني: ميخائيل نعيمه فهو موضوع هذا الكتاب، ومن هنا العنوان: الهندوسية وأثرها في الفكر اللبناني فليس القصد التعميم إنطلاقاً من حالة خاصّة هي الفكر النعيميّ، وإنما الإشارة إلى أنه بدراسة هذه الحالة يستكمل المؤلف تقصّي الأثر الهندوسي في مجمل الفكر اللبناني.
