يهدف موضوع البحث إلى دراسة ومتابعة التطورات التشريعية التي صاحبت بدائل الدعوى الجنائية، والتي تتمثل في استحداث نظم إجرائية بديلة كما فعل القانون الفرنسي في نظام الوساطة والتسوية الجنائية والمثول المسبق بالإعتراف بالجرم؛ وهو ما يشير إلى نهج المشرع الجنائي الفرنسي في مكافحة الجريمة، كما يهدف هذاالبحث إلى الإجابة على التساؤل التالي: هل أصبحت بدائل الدعوى الجنائية في القانون الفرنسي استثناءاً على الدعوى الجنائية أم أصبحت أصلاً وأصبحت مباشرة الدعوى الجنائية هي الإستثناء؟، كما يستهدف البحث إلى التعمق في دراسة أنظمة تسوية الدوعة الجنائية وتطوراتها التشريعية في القانون الفرنسي، لبيان مدى الإستفادة منها في تطوير نظامنا الجنائي الإجرائي في مصر، باعتبار أن القانون الجنائي الفرنسي هو المصدر التاريخي للقانون الجنائي المصري، ونتناول موضوع انظمة التسوية في الدعوى الجنائية في القانون الفرنسي من خلال مطلب تمهيدي نعرض فيه لماهية بدائل الدعوى الجنائية، ثم نذكر في فصل أول الوساطة الجنائية، ثم في فصل ثان نتناول التسوية الجنائية، ونعرض في فصل ثالث لنظام المثول على أساس الاعتراف، وأخيراً في مطلب ختامي نشير إلى تقييم نظام بدائل الدعوى الجنائية، وتسير الخطة التفصيلية للبحث على النحو التالي: (المطلب التمهيدي: ماهية بدائل الدعوى الجنائية، الفصل الأول: الوساطة الجنائية، الفصل الثاني: التسوية الجنائية، الفصل الثالث: المثول على أساس الاعتراف بالجرم، المطلب الختامي: تقييم نظام بدائل الدعوى الجنائية).
