هل سبق لك أن تساءلت لماذا يبدو أن بعض الناس يختبرون فرحآ حقيقيآ وعميقآ فى حياتهم اليومية - حتى فى أكثر الأوقات صعوبة - فيما لا يجده الأخرين مهما بذلوا من جهد فى البحث عنه؟ وكثيرون منا يتوقفون فى النهاية عن البحث بزعم أننا لسنا محظوظين، وربما كنا واقفين فى الناحية الخطأ من الباب عندما كان الله يوزع الفرح، وقد بدأ لى أن قلة من المحظوظين فقط هم الذين تلقوا هبة الفرح، وأن اقل هم الذين مازالوا يعرفون "سر" الفرح، وما أود قوله هو أننى تعلمت أن هذا ليس صحيحآ بالمرة، وعلى الرغم من أنك قد لا تشاركنى الرأى فى هذه اللحظة إلا أن الفرح متاح لك، وقد تقول فى نفسك إنى لا أختبر الفرح بقدر ما يعتبره أناس أخرون، إنه ليس من نصيبى فحسب، وأما أن الفرح معناه الحياة من إنكار كل الألم الذى فى العالم، ولكن، وكما اختبرته فى حياتى، الفرح ليس متعلقآ بظروفك أو بما تشعر به، وأنه وبشكل قاطع، ليس من الحياة مع إنكار الحزن أو الألم أو تجاهلهما، فالفرح شئ أعمق من ذلك بكثير، وأكثر ثراء، وثباتآ، وهو بشكل محدد فى المتناول بأكثر مما تعتقد وهذا هو جمال الفرح الذى يهبه الله.
