يشرح هذا الكتاب سيرة روحية فكرية انبثقت من رحم الإسلام الحنيف، تحمل في ثناياها النقاء والصفاء ونبذ كل مظاهر الترف، والبذخ والإسراف.
فكان الصوفي أقدم من وجد حلاوة الإيمان وأول الداخلين في ملكوت السماوات، إذْ إنه عَرَف الله عزّ وجلّ حق معرفته فمجّده وابتهل إليه واتكل عليه.
فقد كان للمتصوفة الأوائل السبق في عملية الإرشاد والتوجيه الفكري، وحمل رسالة الإسلام إلى أقصى بقاع العالم.
ومن هذا المنطلق كان المتصوفة المرتكز الثابت على الأرض لبناء وإعداد المسلم، إعداداً نفسياً إيمانياً سليماً وفق مناهج أكاديمية مدروسة واعدة بحياة إسلامية في ضمن أفكار المستقبل التي رسمت في الصورة الحقيقية التي أرادها الله سبحانه وتعالى.
فمن سمات الفكر الصوفي الحق أنه فكر أخلاقي، يدعو إلى إرتقاء العقل الإنساني إلى مراتب الخير والكمال، وأروع الصور في السلوك والمعاملات، كما يحفل بإرتقاء الأمة حتى من غير المسلمين إلى الأخلاق الصوفية.
مما لا ريب فيه ولا شبهة ان التصوف سيرة روحية فكرية انبثقت من رحم الاسلام الحنيف، تحمل في ثناياها النقاء والصفاء ونبذ كل مظاهر الترف، والبذخ والاسراف.
