إذا أردت أن تتعلم تصميم المواقع على الوب, واستخدام تقنيات الرسوم المتحركة, وrollovers وslices, وتصميم الأزرار وتصديرها إلى برامج تصميم المواقع فما عليك إلا أن تستعين بهذا الكتاب الذي يشرح هذه التقنيات. يمكن أن تصمم صورة في فوتوشوب لا استخدامها في صفحة web لكنها ستكون كبيرة الحجم وهذا لن يسمح لها في أن تكون عنصراً في صفحات المواقع. لذلك فمن مهام Image ready جعل الصورة أجمل مايمكن بأقل حجم, وهذه من أولويات تصميم صفحة web إذ يجب ألا يزيد حجم الصفحة عن 70 كيلو بايت كأقصى حد, هذا ما سنبحثه فيه في الفصل الأول تحت ما يسمى بالـOptimizing. إن ملف index.html الموجود في القرص المرفق يعرض رسوماً متحركة في صفحة web, كيف تم تصميم هذه الصفحة؟ ما التقنيات المستخدمة؟ الفصل الثاني سيجيب على كل هذه التساؤلات. سنتعلم كيفية تصميم الأزرار وربطها مع الصفحات في الفصل الثالث. في الفصل الرابع سنتعلم كيف نشرح الصور Slicing بهدف التقليل من حجمها, كما سنتعلم كيف نجعل من الصور تتغير أمام زائر موقعك حسب تحرك مؤشر الماوس وهذا ما يسمى بالـRollovers. في الفصول الأخيرة سنقوم باستخدام محرر HTML مثل Adobe Golive لتضمين كل التقنيات التي تم شرحها في هذا الكتاب, لتصبح بشكل عملي جزاءاً من عملية تصميم موقعك مع العلم أننا سنحاول البحث في هذا البرنامج في المستقبل القريب.
