أسعد داغر: الناثر والشاعر الذي سخَّرَ كلماته من أجل الحديث عن القضايا الوطنية السامية، وهو النَّاقل والمترجم الذي نقل مؤلفات أبيه وترجمها من اللغتين الإنجليزية والفرنسية إلى العربية.
ولد أسعد خليل داغر في بلدة كفر شيما بلبنان عام١٨٦٠م، وقد استهلَّ الكاتب مشواره العلمي في رحاب مدرسة «عبية العالية» بلبنان، وظلَّ يسلك سُبُله الدراسية حتى التحق بالجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت.
وقد ارتقى داغر إلى أروقةٍ ومناصبَ وظيفية شَتَّى؛ فقد عَمِلَ مدرسًا في اللاذقية لسنواتٍ عديدة، ثم سافر إلى مصر، ليشغل وظيفة رئيس القلم القضائي في حكومة جنوب السودان.
وقد ذخرت دوحة الميدان الشعري بما قدَّمه أسعد داغر من دواوين شعرية، من أبرزها: «فاجعة الفواجع»، و«تاريخ الحرب الكبرى» شعرًا، ومجموعة قصائد في نعوم شقير تحمل اسم: «نَشْرُ النَّدِّ العَطِر».
كما نشر مجموعة من المقالات العلمية والاجتماعية في مجلات كبرى كالهلال والمُقْتَطَف.
وقد اتسم أسلوبه بالتمَكُّن من ناصية العربية من حيث أصولها، وألفاظها، وأساليبها؛ مما أتاح له أن يتوسَّع في شعره من خلال استخدامه للغة طَيِّعَةٍ يختار ألفاظها، ومعانيها دون جَهْدٍ، أو كَدٍّ للذهن.
ولا يختلف شعره عن نثره إلا في مراعاة إيقاع الأبيات.
وقد وافته المنية عام ١٩٣٥م.
Book Description
يرمي كتاب “تذكرة الكاتب” إلى إصلاح غلطات شاع استعمالها في أقلام الكُتَّاب والأدباء والشُّعراء، وعلى ألسنة المتكلِّمين والخُطَبَاء. وقد سار مؤلِّفه في التصويب والتخطئة في ركاب فريق من علمائنا القدامى مال إلى التشدد، ولا يقبل من الألفاظ والتراكيب إلَّا ما نُقِلَ وسُمِعَ عن العرب، ووفق شروط ارتضاها. والذي دفع هذا الفريق إلى التشدد الخوف على اللغة من الضياع بما يدخل عليها، والحفاظ على نقائها خالية من أكدار اللحن وشوائب الغلط
وقد لقي الكتاب قبولا في أوساط الغيورين على اللغة العربية والمهتمين بها والذَّائدين عن حماها، فأثنى عليه العلَّامة أحمد باشا تيمور الذي قال مخاطبا مؤلِّفه: “قرأتُ كتابَك “تذكرة الكاتب” وأنعمتُ النَّظر فيه امتثالًا لإشارتك، لا تطاولًا للحُكْمِ في مثله. فإذا قلتُ إنَّك أَجَدْتَ وأَفَدْتَ وأَصَبْتَ كُلَّ الإِصابة فيما قَصَدْتَ فإنَّما أقولُهُ على ما ظهر لي، ووصل إليه عِلْمِي، وفوق كُلِّ ذي عِلْمٍ عليم
وقال الأستاذ عبد القادر المغربي عن الكتاب: وهو “من خيرة الكتب التي أُلِّفَت في هذا الموضوع من حيث وفرة مواده، وإيجاز عبارته، وحُسْن دلالته على مواقع الصواب، بعد دلالته على مواقع الخطأ
