يَصْدُر هذا الكتاب عن موقف هرمينوطيقي جذري في بحث مفهوم الصورة عند ابن عربي، قاعدته الإنعطاف بالمقاربة من مباحث الوجود الماهوي والجوهري، إلى مباحث الظهور والتجليات؛ أي "الوجود في اللغة والكلام" بعبارة كل من هايدغر وغادامر، أو "الكينونة الإلهية الحادثة بحدوث القول" بعبارة ابن عربي؛ إذ الوجود كله عندهم مُلقى إلينا في النصوص التي ظهر بها.
يتعلق الأمر، إذاً، يبحث التشكل اللغوي لمفهوم الصورة؛ أي بتفكيك الوساطات النصية والخطابية التي عَبَرَت بها الصورة الإلهية إلى الفهم، وبما أن الصورة، في المجال الإسلامي، هي مِن نظام اللغة والكلام، من حيث هي "شهود سمعي" كما يقول ابن عربي، فقد رأينا أن هرمينوطيقا الصورة في هذا المجال هي سماع إيقاع الصورة في القول وندائها منه، نظير سماع منه، نظير سماع صريف الأقلام في ألواح الكتابة.
وحيث إن البرزخ (Zwischen عند غادامر) هو الموطن المفضل في هرمينوطيقا ابن عربي لسماع خطاب الوحي ونداء التراث، فإن الوضع الإعتباري للصورة الإلهية عنده في الخَبَرِ عنها، والخُبْرِ بها، يتحدد من هذا الإنفتاح المزدوج في البرزخ على الإختلاف الحواري القائم في الصورة نفسها بين التحديد والتجريد (التشبيه والتنزيه)، والمقوم للصورة الإلهية في الإنسان نفسه بين نسبتي الحَقِّيَّة والخَلْقِيَّة.
ولمَّا كُنا وارثين أصالة لهذه الحوارية البدئية السارية فينا بالصورة، والفاتحة الوجود الإنساني في العالم، فإنَّ قَدَرَنا أن لا نكون مجرد مشاركين في هذا الحوار فحسْب؛ بل نَحْنُ هذا الحوارُ نفسُه.
