في هذِه الحكايةِ الشِّعريةِ كُلُّ شيءٍ يبدأُ ببساطةٍ: الفتاةُ ساشا تتلقَّى هديِّةً في عيدِ ميلادِها؛ دَبْدوباً مُخْمَليَّاً مُخطَّطاً. ظُهورُ صديقٍ جديدٍ لمْ يَرُقْ للكلبِ سيوما. بدأَ سيوما يُقنعُ الدَّبْدوبَ أنَّه لا توجدُ دِبَبةٌ مُخَطَّطَـةٌ، وليسَ مَفْهوماً، مَنْ هو. ومن أجلِ «العثورِ على ذاتِهِ»، يقومُ الدَّبْدوبُ برحلةٍ طويلةٍ وخطيرةٍ في أنحاءِ المدينةِ. ويَتَوقَّفُ في طُرُقِها ومتاهاتها عند مَتْجرِ «إيكيا»، والسُّوقِ، وحديقةِ النباتاتِ. في هذهِ الأثناءِ، أصبحَ اختفاءُ الدَّبْدوبِ مأساةً حقيقيَّةً لساشا، وحتَّى الكلبُ، سيوما، شَعَرَ بالقلقِ فعلاً لاخْتفائِه. إنها حكايةٌ عن الصَّداقةِ الحقيقيَّةِ، والإخلاصِ، والحُبِّ.
