هذه رسالة في تحرير مسألة السجود على (التربة)، وحيث أن التربة مأخوذة من التراث اسماً وجنساً، وهي طائفة منه ديفت بماء طاهر، ثم جففت فصارت صلدة يحملها ويستعملها من يسجد عليها حين لا يجد ما يصح السجود عليه، تسهيلاً عيه، فلا مناص من التعرض -ولو إجمالاً- إلى مسألة وجوب السجود على الأرض وما أنبت من غير المأكول والملبوس، وعرض آراء الفقهاء من أئمة سائر المذاهب الإسلامية، سواء الذين لهم أتباع يعملون بفتاواهم حتى عصرنا الحاضر، أو الذين لا يوجد لهم فعلاً من يعمل بآرائهم، ولكن بقيت آراؤهم حية حيث تذكر أقوالهم في كتب الخلاف -كما يسمونه سابقاً- أو الفقه المقارن كما نسميه اليوم.
وإنما بحث ذلك للانتهاء إلى معرفة حكم السجود على (التربة)، ومن ثم لماذا يسجد الشيعة الإثنا عشرية عليها.
والغرض الباعث على تحرير هذه الرسالة هو تصحيح فهم خاطئ عند كثير ممن يتحامل على من يسجد على (التربة) أو (التربة الحسينية) كما يحلو تسميتها لدى الساجدين عليها.
