عبد الملك بن حَبِيب (174 - 238 هـ = 790 - 853 م)
عبد الملك بن حبيب بن سليمان بن هارون السلمي الإلبيري القرطبي، أبو مروان: عالم الأندلس وفقيهها في عصره. أصله من طليطلة، من بني سُليم، أو من مواليهم. ولد في إلبيرة، وسكن قرطبة. وزار مصر، ثم عاد إلى الأندلس فتوفي بقرطبة. كان عالما بالتأريخ والأدب، رأسا في فقه المالكية. له تصانيف كثيرة، قيل: تزيد على ألف. منها «حروب الإسلام» و «طبقات الفقهاء والتابعين» و «طبقات المحدثين» و «تفسير موطأ مالك» و «الواضحة - خ» في السنن والفقه، في خزانة الرباط، و «مصابيح الهدى» و «الفرائض» و «مكارم الأخلاق» و «الورع - خ» و «استفتاح الأندلس - ط» قطعة من أحد كتبه، و «وصف الفردوس - خ» في الأزهرية، و «مختصر في الطب - خ» في الرباط، و «الغاية والنهاية - خ» رسالة في 24 ورقة، أولها: باب ما جاء في فضل المرأة الصالحة (انظر مخطوطات الرباط) وغير ذلك وكان ابن لبابة يقول: عبد الملك بن حبيب عالم الأندلس، ويحيى بن يحيى عاقلها، وعيسى دينار فقيهها
