شغلت المرأة والكتابات عن المرأة حيزا كبيرا في الأزمنة الأخيرة، على الصعيد: العالمي، والعربي، والمحلي وهذه الظاهرة لم تكن قصرا على دراسات الأنثربولوجي، كدراسة للإنسان، بل امتدت كجزء من المجتمع، فليست المرأة إلا شق المجتمع الثاني، وشقيقة الرجل في بناء المعرفة والحضارة . ولم تغب المرأة عن المشهد الثقافي بل كانت في هذا الزمن من المبرزين فيه؛ فالعصور الأخيرة أثبتت للمرأة حضوراً ثقافياً يعادل أضعاف ما أثبته لها التاريخ في العصور الماضية؛ وذلك لاتساع النطاق الحضاري، والفراغ أكثر للمعرفة والمشاركة فيها. هذا البحث مخصص للحديث عن ( الحركة النسوية ) باعتبارها الأكثر مساساً بالمرأة، وباعتبار المرأة فيها كاتبة وعاملة في الوقت نفسه، فهي حركة ذات أبعاد فلسفية، ولها حراك اجتماعي وحضور في الساحة الدولية، وبالتالي لها أيضاً نتاج أدبي، ورؤية نقدية ينطلق منها هذا النتاج.
