من المعلوم حقيقة وفى الأغلب الأعم، اننا إذا أطلنا على سيرة عبقرى من المسلمين، صادفناه فى طفولته يجلس من أبيه مجلس التلميذ، وأبوه يستحفظه آيات من القرآن الكريم، ويلقنه بعض أصل الدين القويم، وقد يعلمه العربية على انها لغة الدين القيم والشرع الحنيف، ومقصد الأب من ذلك أن يجعل من ولده فى مقبل الأيام إنساناً سوياً تقر به عين أبيه، ليراه ملء العين والقلب، أما إذا ما دارت بهذا الابن أيام عمره وتجاوز الطفولة إلى الشباب، أى تخطى السذاجة إلى التعقل والتدبر وتمرس بتجربة او تجارب، وتفتح عقله وشعوره على الدنيا وما فيها من خير وشر، فتصبح إداركه شيئاً ما، وتحركت فى نفسه نوازع قلت او تنوعت، وترددت بين الصالح والطالح، فإن أباه يجد نفسه مسوقاً إلى أن يقف منه موقف النصيح الذى يظهره على تمييزه بين ما ينبغى ان يكون وما لا ينبغى أن يكون.
كما يفضى ذلك إذا كان شاعراً هذا الأب أن يقول ما نسميه شعراً ولا جناح فى ذلك، لإذا كان فناً قائماً بذاته ما أحرى ان يكون موضوع دراسة، لأن دراسته تخوض بنا فى مفاهيم لقيم إسلامية ومثل اخلاقية، ومعالم اجتماعية، وفى هذا علم غزير، وخير كثير، وهو المطلوب المرغوب، وفى تراثنا الإسلامى أمثلة لهذا الشعر الذى نرتضى ان نجعله فنا قائما بذاته، وغن لم نجد ما ينص على انه فى عداد فنون القريض، إننا نريد لنتتبعه فى الشعر العربى والفارس والتركى والأردى، وبذلك نتعرف على جانب له المكانة فى التراث الغسلامى، ومما يقوم به البرهان على ان هذا الفن من الشعر يقتضى منا ان نتفهمه ونتدبره أنه فن يتضمن فنوناً عدة فى وقت معا، كما سوف يستبين لنا ونحن نتناول بالتحليل والتعليل.
