يتفق الباحثين في التاريخ إلى أهمية مدرسة الشيخ "أحمد بن الشيخ زين الدين الأحسائي" لما قدمته من نتاج علمي متنوع في مجالات شتى على مستوى الحكمة، والفقه وأصوله، والتفسير والتأويل، والعلوم الغريبة، وغيرها.
كما أن للشخصيات الرائدة في هذه المدرسة أهمية كبرى، حيث قدمت المدرسة الكثير من طلاب الفكر والمعرفة، ومراجع الأمة على مدى قرنين من الزمن؛ وعلى ما تنقل لنا الكتابات أن للشيخ "أحمد الأحسائي" فقط أكثر من مئة عالم مجتهد تتلمذ على يديه، ومن أولئك الأعلام السيد "هاشم بن السيد أحمد السلمان الأحسائي"، والد المرجع السيد "ناصر السلمان".
وقد كتب رسالته "كشف الغطاء عن الحق بالتحقيق" رداً على من تجاسر على الشيخ "أحمد الأحسائي" وتلامذته، وهي رسالة تثبت بجدارة تفنن السيد "هاشم" وبراعته في حكمة الشيخ الأوحد "الأحسائي" ورسالته الأخرى "أجوبة مسائل الملا حسن بن أمان" - الرسالة التي بين يديك - كشفت أيضاً عن براعة وتوغل السيد وإجتهاده في علوم الحكمة الإلهية؛ حيث تعطي فكرة موجزة وعميقة حول أفكار مدرسة الشيخ "أحمد الأحسائي".
