إذا ما كانت الرّواية العربية قد حَظيَتِ باهتمام عالميّ مُلفِت بعد فوز الرّوائيّ المصريّ نجيب محفوظ بجائزة نوبل للآداب عام 1988، فقد جاء فوز الرّوائيّة العُمانية جوخة الحارثي بجائزة المان بوكر العالمية عن روايتها "سيّدات القمر" عام 2019 ترسيخاً لهذه المكانة العالميّة للرّواية العربيّة. رواية "سيّدات القمر" التي كانت قد فازت قبل ذلك بجائزة الجمعيّة العُمانيّة للكتّاب والأدباء عام 2010 لأفضل الإصدارات عن فرع الرّواية، أثارتْ اهتماماً أدبيّاً كبيراً، وصدر عنها العديد من المُراجَعات النّقديّة في صُحف ومجلّات عالميّة وعربيّة. كما أصدرتْ بعض المجلّات ملفّات خاصّة عن هذه الرّواية، منها الملفّ الذي أَعدّتْه ونشرَتْه مجلّة ميريت الثّقافيّة التي تصدر عن دار ميريت للنّشر في القاهرة، وتناول الملفّ بحوثاً ودراسات عن "سيّدات القمر" كتَبها باحثون وكتّاب عرَب وأجانب، وارْتأَتِ الجمعيّة العُمانيّة للكتّاب والأدباء أنْ تُعيد نَشْرها في كتاب، كي يكون مَرجِعاً للباحثين في رواية سيّدات القمر والأدب العُمانيّ بشكل عام، وتوثيقاً للحراك النّقديّ الذي رافق فوز هذه الرّواية بجائزة المان بوكر العالميّة.
