اتفق العلماء على أن صحيح الإمام البخاري إلى جانب صحيح مسلم من أصح الكتب المصنفة في الصحيح المجرد في أحاديث الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، لذا فقد جاء الصحيح بهذه الحلة حيث قام المحققان بتيسيره وإخراجه بمجلد واحد يسهل على الباحثين استخراج أطراف الحديث كلها-طرداً وعكساً - بسهولة. وعمد المحققان أيضاً إلى العناية بالآيات القرآنية وتخريج آياتها وتخريج القراءات والروايات في كتاب التفسير وتخريج الأحاديث المتفق عليها مع مسلم وعنى بتفصيل فقرات الكتاب وعنى بعلامات ترقيمه حيث رقما الكتب والأبواب بما يوافق "المعجم المفهرس لألفاظ الحديث النبوي" ومفتاح "كنوز السنة"، و"تحفة الأشراف" للمزي.
إن أصح كتاب بعد كتاب الله تعالى هو صحيح الإمام البخاري حيث التزم في نقل أحاديثه التي أوردها فيه أعلى درجات الصحة واشترط لنقلها شروطا خاصة التزم بها وتلقته الأمة بالقبول. وقد اعتمد فيه طريقة الكتب والأبواب وقد أتى على مختلف الكتب الفقهية إضافة إلى غيرها من الكتب كالتفسير والعلم والإيمان وغيرها.
