هذه رسالة لطيفة فيها ذكر ماء زمزم وأسمائها وفضلها للشيخ أحمد الشافعي، أحد علماء الدول العثمانية، رئيس المحدثين بجامع أيا صوفيا المتوفي سنة 1179هـ، طبعت هذه الرسالة قديماً سنة 1331هـ بمطبعة الترقي الماجدية العثمانية بمكة المشرفة على نفقة مالكها محمد ماجد الكردي المكي.
وقد ألف العلماء في زمزم قديماً وحديثاً، ومن أحسن ما كتب فيها كتاب: "فضل ماء زمزم" للشيخ سائد بكداش حيث ذكر تاريخ ماء زمزم وأسمائه وخصائصه وبركاته ونية شربه وأحكامه والاستشفاء به وما قيل في مدحه من الأشعار، ثم أتبعه بجزء الحافظ ابن حجر في الحديث المشهور: "ماء زمزم لما شرب له".
أما الرسالة التي بين يدينا فهي رسالة وجيزة تصلح أن تقرأ في مجلس أو مجلسين، وقد قام "رمزي دمشقية" بخدمتها عن الطبعة الأولى محاولاً ضبط ألفاظها وتقويم عباراتها من المصادر المنقولة عنها.
