يأتي العنوان "صلاة المجموعة الشعرية لـ "أسماء بنت صقر بن سلطان القاسمي" من قبيل المفاجأة الشعرية الرمزية التي شحنت النص بطاقة هائلة، من معاني الحب والجمال والخصب، تماماً مثل عشتار" أنا الإلهة عشتار / أنانا ... أفروديت / آلهة الخصب والنماء .. / آلهة الحب والحرب .. / الزهرة المقدسة .. / سمّني ما شئت من الأسماء .. / أنتَ أنتَ ..." هذا الإشتغال هو إحدى آليات بناء العمل الجمالي الإبداعي مع التجربة، وهو مظهر من مظاهر الحداثة الشعرية في القصيدة الحديثة لارتكازه على بنية نصية ذات ملامح خاصة قائمة على استعادة (الماضي) وإيجاد عالم بديلٍ له في (الحاضر) وبهذا تؤسس الشاعرة القاسمي لنمط بنائي تعبيري جديد ذا طابع تفاؤلي تتشكل مساحته النهائية في لوحات يتحقق وجودها وحضورها بوعي قيمة الحياة ومعانيها وذلك حين جعلت الشاعرة من الصورة البؤرة (عشتار) علامة النص ودليلنا إلى عالم القصيدة والتي هي بالنهاية تعبير عن عالم المرأة / الشاعرة في جانب منها.
في القصيدة المعنونة (قصاصات) تقول الشاعرة:
"أرحل من نفسي إلى نفسي / لا همٌ يلاحقً / ولا وهم سكن / العدم الموجود ورقة بيضاءُ / لوثتها السطور / وتاريخ الفرح محته السنون / تآكلت الشواطىء، تداخلت السواحل / تاهت الأقدام / إلى أين المرتحلُ / نحن لا نعرف بالضبط أين نكون ...".
تضم المجموعة ما يزيد عن الأربعين قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "صلاة عشتار" ، "لحظة كن" ، "أفروديت" ، "جلجامش" ، "عشتار" ، "ترنيمة الخلود" ، "هرطقة حلم" ، (...) وقصائد أخرى.
"هاربة أنا مني إلي من دوني... من دونهم وحدي أناجي وحدي أحدث في خطوط يدي، أحاول... أقرأ أخبارها أنك طلاسمها.. وأجلي أسرارها أبحث عن مدخل لكينونتي تتملكني رغبة في أن أعرفني وأحاورني إما أن أقتنع أو تقنعني".
