فالسيدة زينب عليها السلام تالية أمّها الزهراء عليها السلام، جاءت لتكمل المسيرة الجهادية في هذه الحياة.
ولقد عبَّر الشيخ النقدي عن فظيع مصائب السيدة زينب وعظيم تحملها لها بقوله: وبالجملة، فإن مصائب هذه الحرّة الظاهرة، زادت على مصائب أخيها الحسين الشهيد أضعافاً مضاعفة.
