إن أهمَّ مرحلةٍ من مراحل التاريخ الإسلامي - بعد عهد النبوَّة - مرحلةُ الخلافة الراشدة، وهي في حقيقة الأمر إمتدادٌ لعهد النبوة، وفيها طبق الإسلام، وأرستْ قواعدهُ، فالأمَّةُ إنما تلقت هذا الدين عن الصحابة الكرامِ رضي الله عنهم، وعلى رأسهم الخلفاء الراشدون.
وحرصت في كتابي هذا على إظهار سيرة أمير المؤمنين عُثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه بصورتها النَّاصعة - وهي في حقيقتها سيرتُهُ الصحيحةُ - وحقَّقتُهَا ورتَّبتها، لتكون نبراساً للأمَّةِ وأجيالها، وأسأل الله سبحانه وتعالى أن ينفع به، وأن يجعله خالصاً لوجهه الكريم، وصلى الله على نبينا ومحمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
