فما زال أهل العلم فى القديم والحديث، يردون على الباطل، ويفندون شبه أهله قياماً بما أوجب الله عليهم فى قوله: (وإذا أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب لتبيننه للناس ولا تكتمونه)، وليهتدى ببيانهم من أراد الهداية والحق، وتقوم الحجة على من عاند، "ليهلك من هلك عن بينة، ويحيا من حيا عن بينة".
وإن من الباطل الذى رده أهل العلم: بدعة التصوف، فقد رد عليهم ابن الجوزى فى تلبيس إبليس، وابن تيمية كما مجموع الفتاوى خصوصاً فى المجلد الحادى عشر وغيرها، وبن القيم فى المدارج وإغاثة اللهفان، وغيرها.
وكان مما كتب حديثاً فى الرد على الصوفية هذه الرسائل الثلاث التى علقنا عليها، وقد طبعت من قبل منفردة، حتى قمنا بجمعها ليكمل بعضها بعضاً، وبالتعليق عليها بما يزيد فى الانتفاع بها ولاسيما بما يتعلق بصوفية حضرموت التى لم يكتب فى نقدها الكثير، فأستعنت بالله على ذلك على قصر الباع، وقلة الاطلاع، وندرة المراجع، وكان عملى فيها يتلخص فى تخريج الاحاديث وترجمة المشاهير والتعليق على بعض المواضيع.
