لقد ارتبطت البلاغة العربية بالشعر العربي والقرآن الكريم، والقول البليغ عموماً، ومحاولة تفسير الخطاب، ولم تهدف إلى إنتاجه، وإن صارت فيما بعد، آلة لإنتاج الخطاب في مجال الإنشائية العربية (علم الإنشاء وأدب الكاتب)، وكذلك إنطلاقاً من آثار البلاغة المدرسية التي أرسى دعائمها القزويني (ت 739هـ)، ومن نحا نحوه، والتي سيطرت على تعليمنا وما تزال تسيطر عليه، وإذا كانت بلاغة السكاكي (626هـ) قد انتقدت كثيراً؛ بإعتبارها قد مالت بالبلاغة العربية إلى التحجر؛ عن طريق جانبها التعليمي الذي أغفل الجانب المنتج في البلاغة العربية؛ الأمر الذي دعا الباحثين إلى إعادة قراءة البلاغة العربية في هدفها السامي وهو صناعة الذائقة الأدبية واللغوية لدى المتعلمين والخروج عن التقسيم الذي وضعه السكاكي، وقدّسه القزويني والمتأخرون بعده.
إن نشاط البلاغة العربية ضروري للناشئة في مرحلة التعليم الثانوي؛ لأن هذا النشاط يجمع في طبيعته بين جانبين لا غنى لأحدهما عن الآخر وهما جانباً: العلم والفن، وهما مهمان لتنمية شخصية المتعلم المبتدئ؛ عن طريق تضمين البلاغة الجوانب التربوية: المعرفية، والوجدانية، والمهارية، فهي تحقق بعضاً من وظائف اللغة العربية، وتكشف لمتعلميها عن دقائق اللغة، وأسرارها، وتنمي لديهم مهارات التذوق والنقد، والقدرة على المفاضلة مما يجعلها قادرة على الإقناع والتأثير، فالبلاغة العربية ليست علماً من العلوم يراد بها زيادة معلومات جديدة للمتعلمين، وليست مادة دراسية يعتمد في دراستها على التصورات المنطقية، ولكنها في الأصل فن أدبي له قواعده وتطبيقاته.
ومن هنا، جاء هذا البحث الذي عنوانه "لوازم حُجّة المدرّس ومعالم مَحجّة المتمّدرس"، للتعرف على البلاغة المدرسية عن قرب، ووضع البساط الذي يسير عليه مدرس البلاغة العربية لطلاب الثانوية، وإنارة طريق المتمدرس وهو يتعلم هذا النشاط المميز في أنشطة اللغة العربية الأخرى.
