في هذه المجموعة القصصية، والتي أرغب بأن أطلق عليها اسم (الحذاء المخملي)، أضع بين يديّ القارئ نماذج لشخصيات مختلفة ومتفاوتة في سلوكها وأنماطها. في حقيقة الأمر إنها قصص واقعية بحتة تمس واقعنا الاجتماعي في أغلبها، كما أنني عايشت الكثير من تلك الشخصيات وشهدت أحداثها بما اشتملت عليه من صراع، وآلام ولحظات جميلة، لذا كانت كتاباتي عن محض تجربة، أضفت إليها نسيجاً من خيالي الذي كان حصيلة لقراءتي لمختلف الروايات والقصص وكتب الأشعار وكذلك كتب تطوير الذات.
في كتابي هذا أتحدث عن المرأة، سواءً هي موظفة، زوجة، مطلقة.. إلخ. أصف أنماطاً مختلفة لشخصية المرأة، سواءً المتسلطة، أو المغلوب على أمرها، أيضاً أتحدث عن الرجل، كصاحب العمل، والموظف، والزوج، بشخصياته المتعددة، تطرقت أيضاً إلى الغربة وما يتبعها من عقبات للطالب مثلاً. أيضاً تطرقت إلى موضوع الصداقة، الطفل، والمرض عندما ينتاب الإنسان وما يحمله له من ألم وعبرة في النهاية.
