گريتا مارتان، رسّامة ذات أصول ألمانية، بعد أن انفصلت عن زوجها المغربي، استقرّت في ﭬيلا أنيقة بالرّباط حيث بدأت تتعرّف فيها على آثار ماض غامض. في خضمّ سياق يطبعه توتر ايديلوجي شديد، تتعرّف ﮔريتا على رجلين سيضطلعان بدور بالغ الشّأن في حياتها، الكومسير المتقاعد دريس مهرز، وزﯿـﮔفريد دُو ﭪِـيت، المهندس الذي صمّم هندسة اﻟﭬيلا التي تعيش فيها. في هذا الوقت، تقع جريمة قتل مزدوجة : امرأة "عصرية" وخادمتها تُقتلان بالسّلاح الأبيض. أهو انتقام ناتج عن الغيرة؟ أهي تحذيرات متطرفين؟ وماذا يخبّئ مهرز ودوﭪيت، اللذان يبدوان على دراية بأسرار هذه الجريمة؟ تجد ﮔريتا نفسها قد زُجّ بها في دوّامة من الأسئلة تخصّ تاريخها الشّخصي مثلما تخصّ أحوال المغرب.
