مع قصائد لأجل غرناطة نجد أن أستريد د. لوس ريوس استطاعت أن تجعل من الشعر رؤية للواقع يصعب إدراكها وذلك من خلال أكثر اقتصاديات اللغة إطلاقاً وتكثيف المعارف المحققة على امتداد حياة امرأة انشغلت بالفن والأدب فبالنسبة إليها تحوّلت الزيارة التي قامت بها الى غرناطة الى شعر، حيث ال أنت، الذي يمكن أن يكون المدينة ذاتها أو الحمراء، تماماً كما يمكن أن يكون الشخص المحبوب، وال أنا، متلقي الجمل والكثير من الفن والمنتج في الوقت ذاته للشعر، يلتقيان ليحققا "مشوار روحي المتوصل" و "لي الحمراء" ونحن لا نراها أبداً خلال مشوارها في الحمراء وحدائقه العدنية تستحضر المكان وحيدة، فهناك دائماً الشريك، الكائن، الذي لا شيء له معنى ولا طعم بدونه "معاً نسير/الدرب ذاته". فهي ليست قادرة على تأمل الجمال إلا انعكاساً لجمال "ك"، جمال الفن الذي صنعه العرب وتركوه هناك منذ مئات السنين، إنه : "توريق نيلي/ على حرير جسدك الدافئ/ غزالة" والجدول الموجود في جنة العريف هو "جدول عميق/ لأقدامنا/ برودة/ لقبلتنا/ جمر".
هكذا تظهر استريد د. لوس ريوس على امتداد قصائدها القصيرة كالحب والطويلة كاللحظة الغرورة، التي هي الحياة لأنها، هي المحبّة للفنون والشعر محبّة لمنبع هذه الفنون وهذا الشعر، الإنسان، بمعنى النوع.
