إن لكل شي باباً يلج منه الداخل والراغب فيه، وباب علم النحو هو متن الأجرومية الذي دل انتفاع الدارسين له على بركته وإخلاص مؤلفه، حيث وضع لهذا المتن القبول فشاع في أرجاء الأرض، وكثرت عليه الشروح والأنظار والحواشي والإعرابات والمتممات، ولا زالت إلى يومنا هذا تشرح وتدرس وتحفظ، فلله در مؤلفها حين أوجز العبارة، وأوضح الأحكام بأدنى إشارة، ولقد انتفع الناس قديماً بأصلها وهو "الجمل" لأبي القاسم عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق الزجاجي، فلا عجب حين يبقى النفع في الفرع، وقد ذكر أحد شراحها وهو أبو عبد الله الأندلسي المعروف بالراعي توفي 853هـ، أن ابن آجروم ألفها بمكة تجاه الكعبة المشرفة، وقال المكودي في شرحه على الأجرومية: "وإن من أجل ما وضع فيه –أي علم النحو- من المقدمات المختصرة واللمع المتخيرة مقدمة الشيخ الفقيه الأستاذ المقرئ المحقق المجود فريد دهره ونخبة أهل عصره أبي عبد الله محمد بن داود الصنهاجي عرف بابن آجروم، فهي مفتاح علم اللسان ومصباح غيب البيان، وهي وإن كانت سهلة المأخذ والعبارة، واضحة المثل والإشارة، تحتاج إلى التنبيه على مقفلها، وتنقيح إشاراتها ومثلها".
ولما كان متن الأجرومية بتلك الأهمية السنية عمد "أسامة الحازمي" إلى إخراج شرح هو من أجل شروحها، وأنفسها عند أهلها، قد سلك فيه مؤلفه مسلك المحققين والمحررين، وذلك بعد أن استخرت الله تبارك وتعالى في إخراجه والاستفادة العامة منه.
فاهتم بتصحيح الأخطاء وتدارك السقط الذي وقع في الطبعات الكثيرة وخرج الآيات والقراءات وبعض أبيات الشعر، وترجم للأعلام المذكورين في الشرح، وما تكرر تركه، ونبه في بعض المواضع إلى أن الشارح قد اعتمد على نسخة من المتن يوجد بها اختلاف عن النسخ الأخرى، وأخيراً سجل تعليقات يستفاد منها تشتمل على استدراك أو توضيح أو تفسير لفظة.
يعتير هذا كتاب من أهم وأقدم الكتب في علم النحو حيث شاع المتن الآجرومية في أرجاء الأرض، وكثرت عليه الشروح والأنظام والحواشي والإعرابات والمتممات. ومن بين هذه الشروح هذا الشرح الوجيز الذي بين أيدينا فقد سلك فيه مؤلفه مسلك المحققين والمحررين في اخراجه والاستفادة منه وإفادة المتبحرين في اللّغة العربية ..
