هذه أول دراسة تولي المنفى والنص اهتمامًا كبيرًا فمن المعروف أن الفعل المقاوم داخل الأرض المحتلة لم يتوقف قط، وإنما الفعل المقاوم في شتى صور الأنماط السردية عبر النص الروائي، غير أن هذا الفعل المقاوم، خاصة في تجليات الوعي النقدي في المنفى، لم يكن على مستوى الفعل الأول، الفعل المقاوم، وهو ما يمكن أن نؤكد معه على أن الناقد هنا كان واعياً أشد الوعي إلى (عين الطائر) في المساحة المترامية، التي يسعى الآن للوصول إلى مداها الروائي في نهاية القرن العشرين وبدايات القرن 21، في رواية المنفى التي حاول الاقتراب منها والتعرف عليها أكثر بالتواصل مع عديد من كتاب الرواية الفلسطينية داخل الأرض المحتلة وخارجها، حيث استطاع الناقد الاعتماد على نصوص أدب المنفى في الروائية الفلسطينية عند الكاتبة الفلسطينية فدوى فؤاد عباس خاصة رواياتها الأخيرة "خبز المنافى" و"غواية الحرب" و"لبنان يا وجه القمر" من- وعن- أدب المنفى.
