يتضمن هذا الكتاب المكائد والمصاعب التى واجهها أنبياء الله ورسله مع زوجاتهم، وكيف واجهوا، وعملوا على إبطال مفعولها قبل أن تنفجر وتطيح بحياة الأسرة كلها. وما فعلوه يعهد درساً نافعاً ومفيداً لكل الأزواج والزوجات خاصة، إبراهيم عليه السلام واجه خطف زوجته سارة مرتين، وتصرف بحكمة وذكاء شديدين حتى خرج سالماً من المأزق. ونبى الله يوسف عليه السلام واجه عواصف وغارات زليخة زوجة عزيز مصر بقدر من الحكمة والتعقل، حتى اتنهى به الأمر مسؤولاً عن خزانة مصر وإطعام أهلها فى سنوات المجاعة.. وأيوب عليه السلام حافظ على كرامة زوجتة فى صحته وثرائه، فحافظت عليه فى مرضه وآلامه وظلت بجوارة حتى شفاه الله. وأما بلعام بن باعوراء فقد ضيعته زوجته: فقد أعطاها فرصة قيادته إلى الهلاك، بعد أن أكتشفت فيه حبه الكبير إلى المال والذهب والفضة، فضاع، وضاعت منه النبوة..
وأما رسول الله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد أعطى للآزواج درساً رائعاً فى كيفية معاملة الزوجات، وكيف يهجرهن فى المضاجع عقاباً لهن ورغم حبه الشديد للسيدة عائشة رضى الله عنها إلا أنه لم يفرق بينها وبين ضرائرها - وكان شديد الحرص على المساواة بينهن . أنه مجرد درس صغير من آنبياء الله عليه الصلاة والسلام للأزواج والزوجات هذه الأيام، وفى كل الأيام على مدى الدهر كله علهم يستفيدون منه.
