والديوان نموذج فريد من التمحور حول الذات التي تنطلق منه الشاعرة التي تقول واصفة علاقتها بذاتها "إنها دائما في المركز، وكل ابتعاد عنها هو ابتعاد عن الشعر في الوقت نفسه، إنها ذات إنسانية خالصة لها تحولاتها الرمزية"، وينتقل شعر زينب أبو النجا، حيث انتقلت من المادة إلى الروح ومن العادي إلى المدهش ومن الحياتي إلى الأسطوري، ويطرح الديوان فكرة أنّ الحياة عبارة عن دوائر تبدأ من الصفر وتأخذ دورتها، وتنتهي عند الصفر وتقول في إحدى قصائد الديوان: "أغني وأبكي للحب والجمال / وأتألم من الجروح والأثقال / وأواجه الشر بالخير، وأتحدى القبح والظلم" وهي تسعى لتنقية الشوائب الضارة من أرض الإنسانية لتدعيم سعادة الإنسان، وتقول الشاعرة في مقدمة الديوان: "حاولت في هذا الديوان فك طلاسم الخلق والكون. والقصيدة عندي عالم يتحرك يجري ويمشي.. يبطيء ويسرع، يحب ويكره، يتألم ويضحك، يبكي ويفرح.. المهم في عالمي أن يكون إيجابياً، في دورته مع الحياة وأن يكون محركا لها. وإذا كانت الحياة دوائر، فالكون أيضا في "سيمترياته" دوائر، فالشمس تدور حول الأرض، وتدور الأرض أيضاً والكواكب ليأتي بالتواتر الليل على حافة النهار، ثم النهار على حافة الليل، وتدور الكائنات كلها في حالة تفتح وأفول إلى أن تنتهي دورتهم وتبدأ حيوات جديدة فيها كائنات جديدة.
