Book Description
The doctrine of the ismailis is an introduction to the faith of the followers of the aga khan, known as the shia Imami Ismailis. The shia Imami Ismailis passed through various stages until they witnessed a social, cultural and economic revival and a resurgence of interest in doctrine under the guidance of the Imam aga khan III and his grandson the present Imam prince karim, aga khan Iv.
The shia Immami Ismailis of the present time have gone back in many of their beliefs to the Ismaili doctrine as it was practiced by the fatimids. Since the various stages through which Ismailism has passed do not concern the subjects matter of the present work the author has confined himself to the account of the shia Imami Ismaili doctrine of today.
