بعد تسع سنوات من صدوره باللغة الإنكليزية، يُنقل الكتاب الذي شكّل تحولاً في فهم الأنثى إلى اللغة العربية. وهو أول كتاب يعتمد تحليل الجانب التشريحي (نصفا المخ الأيمن الأنثوي Anima ، والأيسر الذكري Animus) لتِبْيان الفروق في التفكير بين الذكر والأنثى، إضافة إلى ما أتى به علم نفس الفروق بين الجنسين، ليصل إلى كتاب متكامل في طريقة تفكير الأنثى الحدسية التي تصل إلى النتائج أسرع من الطريقة التتابعية الزمنية المنطقية، إضافة إلى الشعور الذي يمنحها التقييم المناسب من حيث الجماليات والمواءمة والتناسب.
يبرز الكتاب طريقة الأنثى في الحَوَامِ حول قضاياها وفي المبالغة بمشاعرها و في شعورها الخاص عندما تدخل في قضاياها الأنثوية كالحب، والزواج، والحمل، والفعل الجسدي...
الكتاب باكورة افتتاح عصر جديد في تناول عقل الأنثى بما يتجاوز التيار النسوي (Feminist) والتيار الجنوسي (Gender) إلى عالم علمي-تشريحي-نفسي يقرّ بالفروق بين الجنسين، لكنه يفيد بتفوق الأنثى النوعي في مجالات مختلفة. إنه عالم معرفي جديد يحتاجه كل رجل كي يفهم ويتفهّم الأنثى ولتجاوز (محنة) سوء التفاهم التاريخي بين الجنسين.
لأول مرة يقدم كتاب (مشاعر المرأة) وحدسها كطريقتين معتمدتين للتفكير الإنساني. وليس كما اعتاد البعض على تقويضهما والتقليل من أهميتهما.
يقدم الكتاب مجموعة نصائح حول كيفية التعامل مع الانثى. وهو بهذا يمهّد لمهارات مختلفة في التعامل معها ككائن نوعيّ، كان من الصعوبة أن الأسطورة تحدثت عنها في طرفة تقول: إن شخصاً وجد مصباحاً سحرياً حكّه، فخرج له المارد ليحدد له طلباً وحيداً، فطلب منه أن يرصف له الطريق بالذهب، فلما تململ المارد بدّل الشخص طلبه قائلاً دعني أفهم الأنثى، فأجابه المارد: هل تريد رصف الطريق بالذهب على صفّين أم على صفّ واحد.
نعم، مع هذا الكتاب قد نكون أمام ثورة في فهم الأنثى؛ التي بعده لن تقول: إن أحداً لم يفهمها، فضلاً عن أنه يحترم طبيعتها ويظّهر للعالم تميّزها ويعترف لها ببصمة مخها (Situated Knower)، بل يكشف للعالم أهمية تلك البصمة.
