يفصّل الحديث عن جزء مهم من تاريخ المملكة العربية السعودية في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي، الذي شهد سقوط الدرعية عاصمة الدولة السعودية الأولى على يد إبراهيم باشا عام 1818م، واستسلام الإمام عبدالله بن سعود رحمه الله، مشيراً إلى ما ارتكبه جيش إبراهيم باشا من فظائع عسكرية، وما بذله من جهود لإسقاط هذه الدولة سياسياً ودينياًّ واقتصادياً وعسكرياً.
ثم يتحدث عن المرحلة الفاصلة بين سقوط الدرعية وقيام الدولة السعودية الثانية على يد الإمام تركي بن عبدالله بن محمد بن سعود رحمه الله، مؤكدا أن حب الناس لهذه الدولة وقادتها واقتناعهم التام بسلامة مبادئها أسهم في عودتها بصورة عاجلة، مفصلاً الحديث عن الإمام تركي واتخاذه الرياض عاصمة للدولة، وجهوده في توطيد الحكم، وما اتصف به من شمائل إنسانية عالية.
