لقد حظيت اللغة الإيطالية فى الآونة الأخيرة بقدر كبير من الإهتمام خاصة فى الشرق العربى، وقد ساعد فى ذلك ارتباط الشرق بإيطاليا، كما أن هناك جهود فردية يبذلها بعض أهل الشرق العربى، حيث التعاون مع بعض الهيئات الإيطالية المحلية من حيث الدراسة و التعليم أو الترجمة والتأليف، وعليه فقد لقيت الثقافة الإيطالية فى مصر شيئاً كثيراً من التقدير والإهتمام لأن الإيطاليين هم أصحاب تاريخ عريض فمنهم أخرج دانتى وليوناردوا ومايكل أنجلو وماكيافلى وجاليليو وفيكو وليبوياردى وجاريبالدى وماركونى... إلخ الجدير بأن يصبح تراثها جزاءاً من ثقافتنا الحديثة وخاصة يجمعنا معرض حوض بحر أبيض متوسط واحد وعليه الآن نستطيع أن نقدم للدارسين موسوعة تعليم قواعد اللغة الإيطالية وتطبيقاتها مشروحة باللغة العربية.
وهو أول كتاب من نوعه حاولنا فيه قدر المستطاع المقابلة بين اللغتين وإظهار الخواص النحوية والصرفية فى كل من اللغة الإيطالية والعربية، ولفتنا النظر عند الضرورة إلى ما يوجد بينهما تشابه فى التراكيب وذلك لاقتناعنا التام بأنه من اللازم قبل إيجاد وسيلة للتفاهم بين عقليتين وشعبين المقابلة بين لغتيهما.
ولقد كان مبحث ميلنا الشديد إلى "الإشارات" اللغة العربية عن عرض القواعد التى هى أساس اللغة الإيطالية هو اعتقادنا أنها تؤدى إلى تبسيط وتسهيل معرفة اللغة الإيطالية.
