وتعتبر هذا الدراسة جزء من رسالة الدكتوراة من قسم الترميم كلية الآثار جامعة القاهرة التي أعددتها تحت اشراف عالمين جليلين هما محمد عبد الهادي استاذ ترميم الاثار بكلية الآثار جامعة القاهرة و علي أيمن عبدالمنعم كامل استاذ تكنولوجيا مواد البناء بمعهد بحوث البناء واللذان تعلمت منهما العطاء و أخلاق الفرسان والبحث العلمي المنظم وتعتبر هذه الدراسة من اولي الدراسات التي تعتني بالمباني الآثرية الساحلية و تكنولوجيا مواد البناء.
