إن القضايا المتعلقة بالفكر الإبداعي والنقدي ممتدة في التاريخ الإنساني منذ أيام الحضارة اليونانية، وخصوصاً قضية الهوية الجمالية، وهو ما أطلق عليه لفظ (الشعرية والشاعرية والإنشائية والأدبية والجمالية....وما إلي ذلك).
ومما لاشك فيه أن غاية البحوث والدراسات النقدية منذ القدم مازالت تتواتر من أجل تحديد عناصر هذه الهوية عند المبدع، وكيفية الكشف عنها عند الناقد بوصفه المتلقي المدرك لهذا العمل، فالشعرية بمفهومها العام تعني "قوانين الخطاب الأدبي"، والمصطلح ذاته قديم، مما يدل على أن السمات الجوهرية الجمالية تتمتع بشئ من الثبات، لأنها مرتبطة بالفطرة الإبداعية، فهذا المصطلح يعود إلى الفكر اليوناني وعند (أرسطو) تحديداً، من حيث كونه بحثاً في القوانين العلمية التي تحكم الإبداع، وقد تطور واتخذ مسميات عدة عبر التاريخ، ومن هنا كان الاتجاه الثاني، الذي يدفق فيها ورد في الموروث النقدي من معالجات تتصل بظواهرنقدية حديثة، لذا فإن هذه الدراسة تعمد إلى الوقوف عند ظاهرة من هذه الظواهر، هي ظاهرة العدول أو الانحراف أو الانزياح، وتطبيقاتها على منجز قرائي لشاعر من أبرز شعراء العربية، هو "أبو الطيب المتنبي".
