وبغرض الوصول إلى نتائج مهمة تحمل المؤلف عناء الدراسة الميدانية وذلك من خلال القيام بزيارات متعددة إلى مدينة كربلاء حيث التقى بالكثير من أهل الخبرة والرواة فضلاً عن لقائه بالرواديد والخطباء. وقد خرج بنتائج لافتة تضمنت الجانب الإيقاعي المرتبط بنصوص الردّات الحسنية والجانب اللحني المرتبط بجمع الخزين الفني والموسيقي المرتبط بالتراث الشعبي الكربلائي، والذي لم يسبقه أحداً فيه.
وبناءً على ما تقدم تغطي الدراسة أحد أهم أشكال التراث الحسيني بأشكاله ومضامينه الفنية والإنسانية بما فيه من معانٍ لغوية وأدبية وفنية استذكاراً لثورة الإمام الحسين بن علي، ولما بذله من تضحيات في سبيل المحافظة على رسالة الإسلام الخالدة.
