أنهينا بعون الرحمن خطب الصديق, والفاروق, وها نحن فى صدد خطب ذى النورين (عثمان بن عفان رضى الله عنه وأرضاه).
وعثمان بن عفان كما قال العسكرى: (هو أول من أقطع القطائع, وأول من حمى الحمى, وأول من خفض صوته بالتكبير, وأول من خلق المسجد, وأول من أمر بالأذان الأول فى الجمعة, وأول من رزق المؤذنين, وأول من أرتج عليه فى الخطبة فقال: "يا أيها الناس, إن أول مركب صعب, وإن بعد اليوم أياماً, وإن أعش تأتكم الحطبة على وجهها, وما كنا خطباء وسيعلمنا الله" أخرجه ابن سعد, وأول من قدم الخطبة فى العيد على الصلاة, وأول من فوض إلى الناس إخراج زكاتهم, وأول من ولى الخلافة فى حياة أمه, وأول من إتخذ صاحب شرطة, وأول من إتخذ المقصورة فى المسجد خوفاً أن يصيبه ما أصاب عمر, هذا ما ذكره العسكرى, قال: وأول ما وقع الإختلاف بين الأمة فخطأ بعضهم بعضاً.
