إِلّا أنّ الجابر كانت من أهمّ من كسر هذه القاعدة في سياق دراستها هذه، لا تقدّم لنا الكاتبة سرديّة تاريخيّة مستقلّة فحسب، وإِنّما قراءةً تحليليّة نقديّة لتاريخ قطر الحديث ببعديه الإقتصاديّ والسوسيولوجيّ وحتّى السياسيّ، كما إِنّها تعطي للقارئ تصوّراً عامّاً عن المرحلة الّتي كانت تمرّ بها قطر على صعيد وضعها الإقليميّ وحتّى العالميّ.
