يعود الفضل في نشوء هذه النخبة المختارة من "بيان مشكل الأحاديث" لإبن فورك إلى السيّد البروفسور ليفي ديلاً فيدا أمين المخطوطات العربية الإسلامية في مكتبة الفاتيكان . وبما أن معلم القشيري يعد دون أدنى شك من أهم علماء الدّين الأشعريين، فقد بدا لنا أنَه من المناسب أن نتناول كتابه عن الأحاديث بالدراسة والتحليل. وكان هـ. ريتر قد كتب قبل 12 عاماً: " إحدى أهم المخطوطات التي وصلتنا سليمة والتي تعنى بهذا التأويل للأحاديث التي يوهم ظاهرها التشبيه هي كتاب " مشكل الآثار" للأشعري الشهير وخصم الكرامية ابن فورك".
وأن نقدم في بادئ الأمر في هذه المطبوعة الأولى عن الكتاب نخبة مختارة، فلعلَ هذا سيبدو مفهوماً؛ لأنَ مثل هذه النخبة ستكون مناسبة لإعطاء فكرة شاملة عن الكتاب ولأنَ هذا كل ما نستطيع إنجازه هذه المرَة. لقد استعرضنا في الفصلين الأول والثالث الطرائق المبدئية التي استعملها مؤلف كتاب " المشكل". أما الجزء الأوسط فيحتوي عينات من الشروحات المنفردة لكلمات النبي العسيرة على الفهم والتي تتضمن أقوالاً عن الله، أي الجزء الرئيس من الكتاب. وكلّي أمل في أنني ستتاح لي عما قريب الفرصة لعرض هذا الجزء بكامله أيضاّ. لكن هذا الأمر يتطلب إستعمال مخطوطات أخرى، إذ إنَ مخطوطات الفاتيكان ولايبزيغ المتاحة لنا وحدها في الوقت الحاضر لا تسمح لنا بإصدار حكم أكيد عن القراءة.
