قبل حراك 2011 الاجتماعي في تونس، نشطت الحركة السلفية سرًا طيلة عقود، بسبب تحكّم الدولة بمفاصل الحياة السياسيّة والاقتصاديّة والدينيّة، في مجتمع مُدَولَن، انعدمت فيه القدرة على التحرّك والتنظيم، إضافة إلى تراجع الحركة السلفية نفسها تكتيكيًّا ضمن استراتيجيا تأخذ في الاعتبار حسبة الكلفة والمخاطر، نتيجة غَلبة الدولة مالكة وسائل القهر والإلزام كلها. بعد الحراك الاجتماعي، ضعفت سيطرة الدولة على الدين، وظهر هامش من الحرّية، فحوّلت الحركة السلفية في تونس نشاطها من حالة الستاتيكا إلى حالة الديناميكا، وحاولت خلق مجال فعلها الخاص، جاعلة التغيير هدفها الأساس.
يبحث هذا الكتاب في تفصيلات العلاقة بين الشباب التونسي والحركة السلفية بوصفها تجربة اجتماعية ذات دلالات ومقاصد، يسعى هذا الشباب من خلالها إلى بناء مسار حياته، ليس لأن هذه العلاقة ضرب من ضروب الخلل الوظيفي، بل لأنها تجربة واصلة بأسباب الإبداع والمناورة. كما يهدف الكتاب إلى كشف المستور في هذه العلاقة، والوقوف على الاستراتيجيات التي تعتمدها الحركة السلفية في استقطاب الشباب، مسلطًا الضوء على مقوّمات هويّة الشباب السلفي الثقافية، ودوافعه إلى الانخراط في الحركات السلفية.
