إنّ رأس الأمر أن ندرس، بنحو نسقيّ تامّ، إبتداءً بالأدنى، الإنتظامات التي تعطي بنية المجموع التفاعليّ، ما له من الحوامل، وذلك إعتماداً على الفرد؛ أن نتبيّن إلى أيّ حدّ تقدر هذه القوانين البنيويّة على بناء توقّعات للمستقبل، فإنّ ذلك لا يمكن تحديده أصلاً إلاّ إذا ما ثبت هذا الأساس.
وقد يكون ما استقرّ في الحادثات التّاريخيّة، وتواتر هو الموضوع الأوّل للدّرس، وعليه يستند الجواب عن كلّ الأسئلة التي تطرح عن التّقدّم التاريخيّ، أو عن الوجهة التي تتّخذها الإنسانيّة.
إنّ بنية عصر بعينه قد تبيّنت، من بعد ذلك، على شاكلة مجموع مؤلِّف من أجزاء مجامع وحركات، في خضمّ مركّب تفاعليّ عظيم، لزمن مّا.
وبناءً على لحظات هي غاية في التنوّع والتّبدّل، يتكوّن كلٌّ معقّد، وهو الذي يحدّد من جانبه الدّلالة التي تقع على كلّ ما شأنه أن يفعل في عصر مّا، فإن كان روح مثل هذا العصر قد تولّد من شقاوات وعداوات، وجد فيه وبه كلّ فرد دلالته.
إنّه المجموع الذي يتحدّد به، خصوصاً كبار الرّجال التّاريخيّين، أولئك لا يضيع ما صنعوا في مجاهل التاريخ، بل تستمدّ أهدافهم من القيم، ومن المجموع الدّلالّي للعصر عينه.
إنّ الطّاقة المنتجة لأمّة من الأمم، في عصر بعينه، إنّما تستمدُ أقصى قوّتها ممّا يقع على أهل هذا العصر من التقيّد بأفق محدود؛ وأمّا عملهم فيصلح لتحقيق ما يشكّل الإتّجاه الرّئيس للعصر، بهذا، يصيرون أعلاماً له.
