الثورة الفرنسية، أمَّ الثورات، شهدت عصوراً من الإنقلابات ومن إعادة الحكم إلى آل بوربون في "عصر الإعادة restoration... وكذلك الثورة السورية، أو قل الثورات السورية، شهدت تقدماً ثم تراجعاً ثم إنقلاباً تماماً كما كانت الثورة الفرنسية "تأكل أبناءها".
وصل الشعبان، أخيراً، إلى النظام شبه الرئاسي: فرنسا مع شارل ديغول عام 1958وسورية مع بشار الأسد عام 2012، ولدت الديمقراطية في البلدين من رحم المعاناة، ومن نضج التجربة أيضاً...
