تطرق المؤلف فى كتابه إلى ذكر الأحاديث الواردة فى أصول العقائد وصفات الله سبحانه وتعالى والتى زعم أهل الأهواء تناقضها أو غير ذلك من ألاعيبهم المكشوفة، وهذه الأحاديث : لا تكاد تجدها تشغل حيزاً من الكتب الماضية المؤلفة فى هذا الشأن، باستثناء كتاب أب بكر ابن فورك، إتسم المؤلف بالاجتهاد المطلق عند معالجته لكثير من النصوص المتعلقة بأحاديث الأحكام، فلا تراه يتقيد فى كلامه بمذهب، ولا يلبس حلية أهل التعصب، بل هو - غالباً - يسير على ما قام البرهان على صحته، وإن نراه حريصاً على عدم مخالفة السود الأعظم!!. وهو نهج فى كتابه نهج أهل السنة والجماعة وبين فضائح الفرق الضالة وكشف الستار عما تنطوى عليه.
