فهذا الكتاب هو إسهام في أداء حق هؤلاء الصحابة الكرام، ألفه عالم كبير وحافظ مشهور هو صلاح الدين العلائي، ذكر فيه الصحابة الذين لهم رواية في الصحيحين أو أحدهما، فحرر أسماءهم وألقابهم وأنسابهم، ثم ذكر عدد مروياتهم.
وقد بذل المحقق وسعه في إخراج الكتاب في صورة لائقة، من الضبط والتعليق والتقديم والفهرسة، فخرج الكتاب في أبهى حلة وأحسن صورة.
