الكتاب الذي نقدمه إلى القراء هو جهد مشكور وعمل علمي دقيق لعالم جليل هو الشيخ الفاضل السيد عبد الرحيم عنبر الطهطاوي، وعمله يدل على عناية تامة بالسنة وعلم بها وروح إيمانية وسمى كتاب: (هداية الباري إلى ترتيب أحاديث البخاري).
رتب فيه أحاديث الجامع الصحيح للإمام البخاري. لا حسب التبويب ولكن حسب حروف المعجم لأوائل كلمات الحديث لييسر للباحث الكشف على الحديث والرجوع إليه بمجرد معرفة أول الحديث فبدأ بالأحاديث المبدوءة بالألف، ثم الباء إلى نهاية حروف الهجاء: حرف الياء.
وحذف الأسانيد والمكرر من الأحاديث اختصارًا واقتصر على ذكر الراوي الأخير الذي أخذ عن النبي "صلى الله عليه وسلم" وهو الصحابي. وقد ذكر وبين عند كل حديث الكتاب الذي ذكره فيه البخاري، وكذلك الباب الذي ذكره فيه واسم الراوي للحديث.
وبهذا العمل القيم سهل الطريق وذلك أمام محبي السنة للكشف والهداية إلى الحديث. ولم يقتصر جهد المؤلف رحمه الله على ذلك ولكنه أسهم بتعليقات علمية فيها مختصر للأحاديث.
