يختص هذا المؤلف بدراسة الاقتصاد الكلي، وقد تم كتابه موضوعات، بحيث يمكن استخدمها كمرجع لأولئك اذين سبق لهم دراسة المبادئ الأولية لعلم الاقتصاد، فهذا المؤلف يهدف إلى تعريف القارئ المتخصص ببعض موضوعات الاقتصاد الكلي بصورة مبسطة ومتعمقة في آن واحد.
ويتكون هذا المؤلف من عشرة فصول، يتناول الفصل الاول منه مقدمة عامة في الحسابات القومية وتوازن الدخل القومي، والثاني يتناول محددات الطلب الكلي، في حين يتعرض الفصل الثالث لتوازن الدخل القومي ومفهوم المضاعف، أما الفصلين الخامس والسادس فيتناولان السياسات النقدية والمالية ومشكلتي التضخم والبطالة، وقد خصص كل من الفصلين السابع والثامن لتحليل نموذج التوازن الكلي ، وتحليل منحنيا الطلب الكلي والعرض الكلي، ويتناول الفصل التاسع مفهوم ونظريات التجارة الدولية، أما الفصل العاشر والأخير فقد تناول مشكلة التنمية الاقتصادية في الدول النامية.
