إن أشرف أنواع التفسير وأجلها تفسير كتاب الله بكتاب الله، إذ لا أحد أعلم بمعنى كلام الله جل وعلا من الله جل وعلا، ومن أهم كتب التفسير المبتكرة المتأخرة كتاب "أضواء البيان فى إيضاح القرآن بالقرآن" للعالم العلامة محمد الأمين محمد المختار الشنقيطى الموريتانى المالكى الإفريقى المتوفى سنة 1393 هـ، وقد ذكر المؤلف رحمه الله فى كتاب المذكور أنواعاً كثيرة من بيان القرآن بالقرآن لا يتسع المجال هنا لذكرها جميعاً، وسنكتفى فى هذا الكتاب بذكر بعضها.
ومن باب التيسير على القراء فى هذه الأيام التى كثرت فيها الشواغل والصوارف والموانع، ولا تتسع فيها الهمم لقراءة كتب التفسير المطولة والإطلاع على ما تتضمنه من جواهر ودرر وروائع قرآنية، قمنا بتوفيق الله ومنته بإعداد هذا الكتاب عن بيان القرآن بالقرآن بإسلوب سهل وإخراج يساعد القارئ على استيعاب مادته، وليس لنا فيه أدنى فضل إلا مجرد البحث والتقصى وتلخيص ما ذكره العلامة الشنقيطى فى تحفته الفريدة "أضواء البيان فى إيضاح القرآن بالقرآن".
