"الشيخ والجلاد" عمل مسرحي للكاتب عبد الله الزهراني يسجل انطلاق أحداث الإنتفاضة الفلسطينية في العام 1987، وممارسات نظام الإحتلال ضد الفلسطينيين.
وفي هذا العمل يتحرك المؤلف بين الحدث والذاكرة، بين الماضي والحاضر، وبين السرد والحوار ناسجاً شبكة معقدة من العلاقات بين الشخوص الذين اختارهم من الفلسطينيين وأهمهم بطل المسرحية "الشيخ" و "الأم الفلسطينية" و "الطفل الفلسطيني"، أما من الإسرائيليين فيختار "شامير .. رئيس الوزراء" و "موشي آرنز .. وزير الخارجية" ، و "الجنرال موردخاي جور .. رئيس الأركان" وغيرها من الشخصيات الأخرى المتمثلة بالفدائيين الفلسطينيين والجنود الإسرائيليين.
و "الشيخ والجلاد" من حيث المضمون تروي العلاقة الجدلية بين صاحب الحق وصاحب الباطل، وهذه العلاقة، على جدليتها، فإن تأثير القطب الثاني المتمثل بالإسرائيلي هو الأقوى لأنه يمتلك السلاح، والأموال. أما القطب الأول والمتمثل بالشعب الفلسطيني فهو الأقوى بالإيمان والعزم على إحقاق الحق ورجوعه إلى اصحابه أهل الأرض. وبهذا المعنى يغدو المسرح في هذا العمل واقعاً معيشاً يمكن تناوله وليس مجرد فن ادبي تجري متابعته ودراسته، فيختلط المسرح والحياة ليشكلا تعويضاً عن الواقع، وفرصة للتعبير عن قضية العرب الأولى فلسطين، وللقول أن في حياة كل فلسطيني أكثر من موطىء لقاء وفي المسرح أكثر من بقعة ضوء.
