لقد ضم مرجعنا هذا ثمانية أبواب تحتوى على ثمان موضوعات هامة من علم هندسة الأساسات بدأت بباب عن إستكشاف التربة وأبحاث الموقع وقدمنا فى هذا الباب تفصيل خطوات إعداد تقرير التربة والأساسات وهو أول مستند هندسى إنشائى لازم لأى مبنى يردا تنفيذه، وخصص الباب الثانى لطرق حساب قدرة تحمل التربة سواء الحسابية منها أو الموقعية وضم الباب الثالث أنواع الأساسات السطحية واحمالها والضغوط عليها كما ضم طريقتى التصميم بالإجهادات القصوى وبإجهادات التشغيل وضم هذا الباب أيضا كيفية تنفيذ الأساسات من إحلال وخرسانات وروسومات، وخصص الباب الرابع لتصميم القواعد المنفصلة بطريقتى التصميم المذكورتين. اما تصميم الأساسات الشريطية فلقد إختص بها الباب الخامس وفى الباب السادس قدمنا تصميم القواعد المشتركة والكابولية، وإحتواى الباب السابع على الطرق التقريبية والتقليدية لتصميم اللبشة، ثم قدمنا فى الباب الثامن التحليل العددى للأساسات بإستخدام طرق التحليل المختلفة والحديثة التى تعتمد على إستخدام الكمبيوتر، ولقد أوردنا عددا وفيرا من الأمثلة المحلولة على الطرق والنظريات المختلفة الواردة بهذا الكتاب كما أوردنا من الكود المصرى التجارب الموقعية وما يخص الموضوعات المعروضة.
