هذه دراسات ومقالات كان قد أنجزها كاتب هذه السطور، منذ انهيار التجارب الاشتراكية في الاتحاد السوفيتي وشرق أوربا في بداية التسعينيات من القرون العشرين، كانت الأحداث عاصفة ومثيرة، أحدثت هزة كبيرة في أوساط الماركسيين والشيوعيين والاشتراكيين في العالم.
وقد تناولت المقالات والدراسات بعنوان الماركسية في عالم متغير، ولكن ما هو المقصود بالماركسية؟. مهم أن نحدد المقصود بمصطلح الماركسية المستخدم في هذه الدراسات والمقالات. من المعلوم أن ماركس كان متحفظًا على استعمال الماركسية، أي نسبتها إلى اسمه لأن ذلك يطمس أو يفرغ اكتشافاته من محتواها.
وقد حاول ماركس أن يعطي البديل الاشتراكي للرأسمالية طابعًا علميًا ونظريًا، وبالتالي كان ماركس يعارض تشويه أنصاره لأطروحاته وتحويلها إلى عقيدة جامدة ودوغمائية، ولذلك أشار في إحدى رسائله إلى صديقه لافارغ (انني لست ماركسيًا).
ولكن بعد وفاة ماركس استخدم صديقه ورفيق دربه انلجز مصطلح الماركسية في وجهة إيجابية للدلالة على أعماله واكتشافاته الأساسية.
إذن استخدامنا للمصطلح هنا بمعنى الاكتشافات النظرية لإعطاء الاشتراكية طابعًا منهجيًا وعلميًا، مثلما نستخدم الداروينية بمعنى اكتشاف دارون لقانون تطور الأنواع بالانتخاب الطبيعي أو النيوتنية بمعنى اكتشاف نيوتن للقوانين الأساسية للحركة وقانون الجاذبية.
وخلاصة القول، أن منهج ماركس يتعارض مع الحتمية التاريخية أو الدوغمائية، وأشار في معارضة ذلك: بأنني لست ماركسيًا، وأن منهج ماركس نقدي ثوري يتعارض مع الحقيقة النهائية والمطلقة، مثلما هو منهج العلم، وهذا هو مدخلنا للدراسات.
