«حُبّ وحَرب» هي قصة "كورت سييت وشورا" الشهيرة التي تحولت إلى مسلسل تلفزيوني مقتبس عن قصة واقعية من تأليف نرمين بيزمان، عن قصة جدّها لأمها. صدرت الرواية أول مرة في العام 1992 وأُعيدت طباعتها باللغة التركية ستاً وأربعين مرة، وتُرجمت ونُشرت في اثني عشر بلداً في جميع أنحاء العالم. لتعود اليوم بطبعتها العربية عن (دار ثقافة للنشر والتوزيع،2020 ). وتعدّ الرواية من كلاسيكيات الأدب التركي المعاصر. واعتمدت المؤلفة في كتابتها على وثائق عائلية وحقائق جديدة ظهرت بعد عام 1992 زمن صدور الرواية أول مرة.
تدور أحداث الرواية بين روسيا واسطنبول في عشرينيات القرن الماضي أثناء الثورة البلشفية، وتحكي قصة عاشقين غير محظوظين تفوقا بشغفهما على أي عاشقين آخرين؛ فاستطاعا الفرار من موجة الدمار التي تسبّبت بها تلك الثورة. واجها معاً الكثير من المحن والشدائد ولكن لم يُكتب لقصة حبهما أن تكتمل.
كورت سييت: ابن أحد النبلاء الأثرياء في القرم وهو ملازم أول في الحرس القيصري. أُصيب على جبهة الكارباثية ولاحقه البلاشفة لاحقاً، هرب بشجاعة عبر البحر الأسود. لم يسمح له الكبرياء بقبول ثمن الأسلحة التي سلّمها للقوميين، وهو يواجه سنوات من النضال في سبيل بناء حياة جديدة في الجمهورية التركية التي تنهض من جذور السلطنة العثمانية المحتضرة. كل ما تبقّى له هو كرامته وحبه.
شورا: صاحبة الجمال البريء الممزوج بموسيقى تشايكوفسكي وأضواء موسكو المتلألئة والتي تقع في حُبّ سييت في الخامسة عشرة من عمرها. ضحية محتملة في مرمى البلاشفة بسبب ثروة عائلتها ومكانتها الاجتماعية، لكنها عقدت العزم على اللحاق بقلبها، رافقت سييت في رحلته الخطيرة وسط البحر الأسود.
لقد كان حبّهما هو العزاء الوحيد لحنينهما إلى الوطن والعائلة اللذين لن يراهما مرّة أخرى، حبيبان من بين مئات الآلاف من المهاجرين الروس البيض الذين يحاولون العيش في إسطنبول المحتلة.
